Stormy Lake Resident Sharon Douthit has Died

Sharon E Douthit November 7, 1939 - February 15, 2025

Long-time Stormy Lake resident, Sharon Douthit, 85, passed away on February 15, 2025 at her home in Sterling, IL. Sharon was the President of the Stormy Lake Association between 2015 and 2018. She owned a home at 4418 West Stormy Lake Road (at the junction of West Stormy Lake Road and Stormy Point Road), a property that sold very recently.

Sharon grew up near Peoria, IL and was a Physical Education teacher in Sterling from 1961-1994. She owned Field Spaniels, and participated in the Field Spaniel Society of America.

Sharon's obituary in the Vilas County News Review reflects her happy, engaged, and energetic life. We loved her energy at the annual Stormy Lake Association meetings.

Sharon's family suggests memorial gifts to any of the following: the Stormy Lake Association (WI), Congregational Church (Rock Falls), Sterling Schools Foundation, or Kidney Foundation.
