Highway K Clean-Up - May 31, 2025

Thanks to everyone who pitched in to pick up trash and recyclables from Highway K on Saturday, May 31, 2025. We learned that people tend to discard cans from low-quality light beers and bags of highly processed snacks out their car windows.

One of our teams cleaned up plastic car parts from a wreck near 45 and K. The other team found a very old hubcap in the weeds. Nothing of great interest, though.

Despite having cleaned the road last fall, we still gathered about 9 bags of garbage and 7 bags of recycling.

We will schedule another clean-up in the fall.
