Baker Lake Road Improvements Scheduled for 2025

The following announcement is on the Town of Conover website

I called Kendra Lederer and asked what is being proposed. The work primarily involves the section of Baker Lake Road from W. Stormy Lake Road to the Town Line (apparently near the junction with Claire Fire Ln) and will include regrading, new gravel, widening, and brush clearance for fire prevention. The project is slated to cost about $1,000,000. This is NOT another Hwy S or Hwy K kind of road widening.

She did not see any plans to alter the section of Baker Lake Road from Hwy S to W. Stormy Lake Road.

Notice of Public Informational Meeting for Baker Lake Road Project

ALL INTERESTED ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED:  there will be a Public Informational Meeting on the Baker Lake Road project, this will be held on January 9, 2024 at 5:00 pm at the Conover Center Board Room.

This meeting will discuss proposed road work to be completed in 2025.  This roadwork includes: the widening of Baker Lake Road and adding gravel to build a well-draining road base.

The purpose of this meeting is to solicit residents’ input on the scope of the project.  Persons who cannot attend this meeting but have questions or wish to voice their comments and/or concerns may do so in writing. All letters will be read in at the meeting as part of the public comment.  Mailing Information is below.
